Homemade Goldfish

If you’ve never made homemade crackers before, this recipe is the perfect place to start. You’ll love the cheesy depth, the flaky texture, and the fact that you made them from scratch.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz block cheddar reg or sharp cheese
  • 1 cup AP flour or Bobs Red Mill 1:1 flour
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp cold butter
  • 1 tbsp cold water

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350
  2. Shred the block cheese.
  3. Add all ingredients to a food processor
  4. Blend in food processor until it turns into a dough
  5. Knead in any loose flour or cheese to the dough.
  6. Wrap and place in freezer for 15 mins
  7. Roll out the dough thin.
  8. Cut out the shapes, place on parchment lined baking sheet
  9. Bake for 15 min
  10. Let cool for 10 -15 mins
  11. Serve and enjoy

Notes

Dipping the cutter in flour will help the dough not stick to the cutter.
Cutting takes some time so be patient.
The more you cut out the easier it becomes
If working with kids order more than one cutter, cut the dough in half and follow the
instruction
